The Cochin Community Players illustrate the power of a small group of determined and creative people. In 1996 the club started with a cast and crew of six and an audience of fewer than two hundred. Recent productions have involved several dozen people and audiences of over one thousand. Today, with many productions behind it, the club is an important local cultural institution.

Cochin community Players – AUDITIONS. The play: “The Cemetery Club” by Ivan Menchell. Four females, One male. The actors are all Jewish, living in Manhattan. All are widows, and one widower. They regularly visit the graves of their former spouses. The play is a comedy, with lots of ‘feel good’ relationships among the characters. The play has been produced widely and is a crowd pleaser. It has been made into a movie.
